I’m Amy, the owner & principal photographer of LeAnne James Photography.
The biggest thing you need to know about me is that I
LOVE my job. Seriously, seriously love it.
Based out of gorgeous Pensacola Beach, Florida, I’ve had a camera in my hand in some capacity for 20 years now. This particular studio was opened in 2024, and is a nod to the biggest source of inspiration in my life, always...my family.
After working a seasonal job at JCPenney as a teenager, I started dreaming of owning a studio. It’s even listed as my life goal in my high school Senior Memories book! In 2008, my husband bought my first DSLR for me after the birth of my daughter, and the rest is history. Whether in business or not, I’ve met and had the pleasure of photographing so many incredible moments in the lives of some equally incredible people, and I count myself blessed to be a part of every single one. It will never be less than a massive honor for me.

So, what's a session with me like?
In a word, relaxed. I don't want you to stress over the end result...because there is no need to. I've got you!
I got my start in photography in a classic studio setting, and for the last two decades I've fine-tuned the process of weaving those beautiful cornerstones of portraiture into a relaxed and authentic style of photography that's easy on you. Don't stress over wardrobe--I have suggestions and style guides to help. I love for my subjects to move, so worrying over too-long-held smiles or awkward stillness won't be a problem. Let the kiddos run a little wild...I can keep up! Rigid posing isn't my style, but I will coach you through moments of connection that leave you with a memory AND a gorgeous photograph to go with it.
I take this so seriously, but the process definitely isn't!
You aren't a client, a dollar sign, a model, or a distraction.
You are a story, and the air in my lungs is helping you tell that story,
to yourself and the generations beyond you.
I promise you, this can be fun.
